This is a cool Handguard. It is all plastic with really forward thinking plastic shield baffling. It does NOT fit a Ruger556 with fixed front sight without some modification of the front lower handguard around the area where Ruger has their factory QD sling mount block. Its easy to do with a Dremel tool and a sanding roll. having room to install the front lower portion is very crucial. Also make sure to have the rear lower part perfectly aligned with the gear like teeth on the AR and tap it straight up. If its mis aligned it can crack the plastic. All in all i think this is a great All plastic handguard.
